Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply advanced knowledge and skills in a range of strategic leadership and management roles.
 
Individuals at this level make high level autonomous decisions and use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions in varied contexts. They have full responsibility and accountability for personal outputs and for the work or function of others.
 
They use cognitive and creative skills to review, critically analyse, consolidate and synthesise knowledge, in order to generate ideas and provide solutions to complex problems. They use communication skills to demonstrate their understanding of theoretical concepts and to transfer knowledge and ideas to others.

Course Duration

52 weeks (including public holidays, re-assessment, and catch-up classes) - full-time study 20 contact hours per week timetabled over 2.5 days per week.

Mode of Study

The program is classroom-based face to face delivery with trainer led training in classrooms, and computer labs consisting of direct observation, product-based methods, portfolios, questioning and third-party evidence

Entry Requirements

    Australian International Institute of Technology has the following entry requirements for the BSB80320 - Graduate Diploma of Strategic Leadership:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have completed at least the equivalent of Year 12.
  • Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in related fields of study and 3 years’ equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise or;
  • Have completed a Bachelor degree in related fields of study and 2 years’ equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise or;
  • Have five years’ equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
  • Applicants should have basic computer and MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Meet minimum English Language Proficiency Requirements* including:
  • Have obtained an IELTS band score of at least 6.0 ‐ or equivalent; or 5.5 where the test score is combined with at least 10 weeks ELICOS or 5.5 where the test score is combined with at least 20 weeks ELICOS https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/stud/more/student-visa-english-language-requirements

  • Note – If an International student is not required to provide evidence of their English Language Proficiencies (in Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening) at the time of applying for their Student visa (Sub‐class 500) – reference: https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/stud/more/student-visa-english-language-requirements, they will be required to complete Australian International Institute of Technology’s English Language Proficiency Assessment to ensure that they have the required English proficiency level for this course.

Graduates who complete this course may wish to undertake higher education qualifications in business, leadership, and management or seek advancement in the workforce in a notably strategic leadership role.
